HERE’S HOW TO MAKE SURE YOU’RE READY TO VOTE:
1. Are You Registered to Vote?
Ensure Your Registration is Up-to-Date:
Check Your Registration Status:
Visit the Washington State Voter Portal to verify if you're registered.
Register to Vote:
You can register to vote in person up to and on election day at your local elections office.
Update Your Information:
If you've moved or changed your name, make sure to update your voter registration.
2. Know Where to Vote?
Know Your Voting Options:
Vote by Mail:
Washington State conducts elections by mail. Ballots are mailed to all registered voters. You can return your ballot by mail (no postage required), or at a designated drop box. Voting by mail provides a private way for you to fill out your ballot.

If you need assistance, accessible voting centers are available. Check your county's elections office for more information.
3. When Does Voting Start?
Stay Ahead with Important Dates:
Ballots Mailed:
Ballots will be mailed out starting October 18, 2024. Look out for your ballot in the mail. You can start voting as soon as you receive your ballot!
Election Day:
All ballots MUST be returned by 8 PM on Election Day, November 5, 2024. If mailing in your ballot, it needs to be postmarked by Election Day.
What to Do If You Didn’t Get Your Ballot
If you haven’t received your ballot, don’t worry! Here are the steps you can take to ensure you can still vote in the upcoming election.
Check Your Voter Registration
Visit the VoteWA.gov portal to confirm your registration status and address.
Contact Your County Elections Office
Reach out to your county elections office if your ballot is missing. Many offices offer online, phone, or in-person services to help you request a replacement ballot.
Request a Replacement Ballot Online
Go to VoteWA.gov to request a replacement ballot. You can print it at home or have it mailed, depending on how close it is to Election Day.
Visit a Voting Center
If you’re running out of time, head to a voting center in your county where you can fill out a provisional or replacement ballot on-site.
